Sacred Moments in Sedona: F+P’s Intimate Wedding Day

Every once in a while, a wedding day comes along that feels like something more—like you’re not just working, but witnessing. That was exactly how it felt to be part of Francesca and Parker’s wedding in Sedona, Arizona.

This was a special one from the start. I was connected with Francesca through the Wedy app—a booking platform that was featured on Shark Tank (how cool is that?). She booked all her vendors through the app, and I was lucky enough to be one of them. Francesca and Parker live in Utah, and without sharing too many personal details, I’ll just say… my heart connected with their story on a deeper level. From our first conversation, I knew this day would be something sacred.

Their wedding was small—just 20 to 30 guests—but incredibly intentional. Every person there had a reason to be there. You could feel it. The ceremony was held at the enchanting Tlaquepaque Chapel, nestled among the red rocks and tucked inside this storybook-style village that feels like time slows down inside of it. Afterward, everyone strolled over to the Cowboy Club’s private courtyard for a cozy, candle-lit reception under the Arizona sky.

This is what I love about intimate weddings—no fluff, no unnecessary distractions. Just love, presence, and connection.

Francesca had shared with me before the day that she had recently gotten into an accident at work and broken her ring hand. It looked pretty rough when I saw it, and my heart truly went out to her. And yet, despite the pain, she kept the most positive, grounded energy the entire day. I made it my mission to check on her often, keeping some pain meds tucked in my fanny pack just in case, and offering support wherever I could.

There were so many tender, sacred moments: helping her with her shoes, lacing up the back of her dress when her hand wouldn’t let her do it herself, gently adjusting her veil. After the ceremony, I was there with tissues to wipe her tears and fix her makeup. These are the moments where I really pause and take it all in. It’s such an honor to be that safe space for someone on the most meaningful day of their life.

And let’s talk about the fashion—so good. Parker and his groomsmen rocked bolo ties, which paired perfectly with Francesca’s Spanish lace gown. Every detail was thoughtful and authentic, including the little ceramic bowls they gave as favors and their welcome book, which was a photo album filled with jaw-dropping pictures of the two of them. It all told their story so beautifully.

Now, no wedding day is completely smooth sailing (wouldn’t be real if it were! this is why styled shoots aren’t reality and something to base your experience off of) . There was a bit of confusion around the bar tab—when it switched from hosted to cash bar, and who was responsible at what time. Honestly, I’m still not entirely sure what went down behind the scenes, but I was there to handle it, make sure things got sorted, and advocate for the couple with the venue. That’s the whole point of having a planner—to be the neutral, calm, steady person in the middle of the chaos, quietly handling it all while you enjoy your day.

It’s also important to me to advocate for the vendors too. We’re all on the same team, and a good planner can hold both sides with fairness and grace. That’s what creates a seamless experience.

Francesca and Parker have this peaceful energy about them—like two souls who have truly found home in each other. Being around them was a gentle reminder of why I do what I do. Their day wasn’t about spectacle or perfection. It was about presence, connection, and love in its most beautiful, raw form.

Francesca and Parker, thank you for trusting me with your day. I’ll hold those sacred moments close for a long time. You two deserve nothing but the absolute best the world has to offer.
