Spotted: A Vintage Car, A Newlywed Couple, and One Determined Planner- P + B

Some weddings come together with months (or even years) of meticulous planning. Others? Well, sometimes fate (and Facebook) step in to shake things up.

Paiton and Bo’s wedding was one of those whirlwind stories. They found me after their original planner suddenly canceled, leaving them scrambling to pull things together. With Bo serving in the military and Paiton busy working on the golf course, they needed someone to jump in, take the reins, and make their dream Fort Worth Stockyards wedding happen—fast. Lucky for all of us, they stumbled across my name, reached out, and from the first conversation, I knew we were going to be a perfect fit.

Wedding planning meetings don’t always have to be formal, and Paiton and Bo proved that. My husband and I met up with them for a planning session over cocktails, and before we knew it, we were laughing, swapping stories, and chatting like old friends. That’s exactly how I love to do business—when you’re planning such an important day together, it should feel natural, easy, and fun.

Fast forward to their big day—mid-summer in Texas, which meant it was warm, but that didn’t stop the energy from being absolutely electric. There’s something about a wedding in the Stockyards that’s pure magic. The mix of historic charm, the sound of boots on the pavement, and the ever-present hum of the city’s hustle and bustle—it’s an experience. And let’s not forget Bo’s military buddies, who definitely added to the noise!

Of course, no wedding is complete without a few hiccups, and this time, it was the ceremony arch giving us a run for our money. But we made it work, and when Paiton walked down the aisle, everything looked absolutely stunning. The whole day was filled with love, laughter, and just the right amount of chaos—the best kind, the kind that makes weddings feel alive.

But let me tell y’all about the moment that really sealed this wedding in my memory forever. After the ceremony, we headed out for newlywed photos. To get the perfect shots, we had to cross the busiest street in the Stockyards, where classic vintage cars are constantly cruising by. And that’s when it hit me—why not use one as the ultimate photo prop? Now, I may be a planner, but I’m also not above a little spontaneity when the moment calls for it. Without a second thought, I flagged down a vintage car like I had planned this all along. The driver was all in, the couple hopped in, and the photos that came out of it? Pure gold. It was one of those unplanned, completely magical moments that somehow felt like it was meant to be. Now I do feel like the driver was so willing because he had a for sale sign on the car and could get some sick photos (lol) nonetheless, thankful for people willing to jump in and make fun memories!

I couldn’t have done this without the incredible vendor team that made everything flow so smoothly. Huge shoutout to the photo and video team, who captured every bit of this day so perfectly, and the DJ crew who kept the party going strong all night. It takes a village to pull off a wedding like this, and this team absolutely delivered.

Paiton and Bo’s wedding started as a last-minute rescue mission but turned into one of the most fun, easygoing, and unforgettable celebrations. It’s couples like them that remind me why I love what I do—bringing people together, creating something special, and, sometimes, flagging down a vintage car in the middle of the street just to make a moment truly legendary.

Cheers to Paiton and Bo! 🥂
