Pastels and Pure Joy: The Day They Said ‘I Do’-K+C
As the night came to a close, the bride and groom shared a private last dance to “Forever” by Noah Kahan. It was just them, the photographer, the DJ, and me in the room—a moment suspended in time. The bride, head thrown back, held on to her groom as the music transported us all. When the tempo picked up, they jumped with joy, and as it slowed, they embraced, radiating pure euphoria. During that last song, I asked the DJ to turn it up loud, amplifying the magic of the moment. The couple’s instant gratitude was evident as they beamed with joy, fully immersed in the moment.
The entire day flowed easily, with only a few minor hiccups—like some missing linens, adding a couple extra place settings right before dinner—typical wedding day quirks that my team and I managed seamlessly. The venue was enchanting, like a fairy garden, creating an atmosphere that felt otherworldly. The ceremony was a beautiful blend of personal touches and tradition. The backdrop was a stunning archway filled with greenery, forming a dome adorned with spring-colored flowers. The wedding party wore all pastel colors, a palette I had been eagerly waiting to work with, and it was everything I had hoped for.
As they prepared for their first kiss, the bride’s excitement was palpable. She jumped up and down with joy, and it was the cutest, and sweetest thing I’ve ever seen. As they kissed, “Evergreen” played on the string trio in the background, adding to the magic. Everything about the ceremony was amazing, sweet, and euphoric. I was so proud when they did the dip and kiss down the aisle, just as I had them practice to do! The photos of this moment will be beautiful.
The bride was a delightful mix of sweet and bubbly, with a clear vision but enough flexibility to make the process enjoyable. Acting as their advocate, whether suggesting photo shots, giving them some time to rest in the bridal suite privately after all of the family photos, making sure they ate and drank enough water, or coordinating with vendors, felt rewarding.
Throughout the planning process, the bride’s meticulous organization made the transition to her month of package with us seamless. Personalized notes for each guest added a unique touch, and the florals were a gorgeous focal point! The blended family was there with so much love, and the groom, gentle and supportive, often offered to help set up. But I encouraged him to relax and enjoy the day. The bride’s excitement was contagious; she even peeked through the blinds from the bridal suite, eager to see everything come together. Family members & guests were incredibly helpful and kind, adding to the warmth of the day.
By the end of the night, it was a refreshing change of pace, and the couple’s immediate gratitude was the best reward. The bride texted me just hours after the send-off, saying how amazing the day was and that they were already reminiscing. It was a perfect day—unique, personal, and filled with connection.
